Lebanon firefighters responded to a structure fire Monday at 1204 Murfreesboro Road, where heavy smoke and flames were coming from an RV when crews arrived.
Units from Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, and 400 deployed an attack line and entered the structure to put out the fire. During a search, firefighters located a cat inside and attempted to revive it, but officials later confirmed the pet did not survive.
Fire investigators remain on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
