One Killed Following Armed Robbery in Mt. Juliet

July 1, 2024 – At approximately midnight on Saturday morning, deputies with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in Mt. Juliet. Following their arrival, deputies located one male victim in his vehicle and attempted life-saving care until the arrival of paramedics. Despite these efforts, the 27-year-old victim passed away from his injuries.

Deputies with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Mt. Juliet Police Department soon determined that the shooting followed an armed robbery at Cedar Creek Marina and Restaurant, located at 9120 Saundersville Rd.

Shortly after closing, armed suspects ambushed staff in the restaurant. Two staff members were assaulted and forced to open the cash safe. They were treated and released by medics on the scene

Detectives with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are working closely with Mt. Juliet Police Department detectives to identify the person(s) responsible for this senseless act of violence.

  1. I have no doubt the MJPD will solve this senseless crime. We moved to Mt. Juliet from Chicago 25+ yrs ago because of its warm, friendly and progressive way of life. Our police department plays a huge role in that. Thanks guys- please stay safe
