August 22, 2024 – Wednesday afternoon, two suspects fled officers in two separate incidents.

Around 11:00 a.m. MJ Guardian Shield alerted officers to a previous suspect who fled in a vehicle. When officers attempted to stop convicted felon 42-year-old Londra Johnson of Nashville, he fled again. Officers did not engage in a chase.

Moments later, an officer watching the on-ramp to I-40 West at Golden Bear Way, witnessed Johnson speed by recklessly and throw out a backpack that contained a handgun, fentanyl, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana.

Before this incident, Johnson was already wanted out of Nashville for failure to be booked and Mt. Juliet for a previous felony evading. Additional warrants were obtained for a felon being in possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, felony evading, reckless driving, and related drug possession charges.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Mt. Juliet Police Department at (615) 754-2550. Anonymous tips can be provided by calling (615) 754-TIPS (8477) or the Mt. Juliet Police Department website at http://mjpd.org.

The second incident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. when #MJGuardianShield alerted officers to a Honda Pilot SUV stolen out of Nashville on August 18th. Officers located the vehicle in the Providence MarketPlace area, where it fled officers. After a short chase, officers quit pursuing the vehicle due to the heightened risk.

Information was relayed to surrounding law enforcement, and Wilson County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the stolen vehicle in the Lebanon area. A spike system disabled the vehicle, and a 34-year-old man from Nashville was apprehended.
