William “Trooper” Richards, age 81 passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 in Mt. Juliet.
He is preceded in death by his much loved wife, Marie Sharon Richards of 38 years; parents, Joseph Richards and Mary Helen Richards and brother, George Richards.
He is survived by children Colleen Richards, Eddie Richards and Lorri Barrett Bates; grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike) Hancock, Anna (Brian) Bundrick, Heather (Vinny) Peila and Christopher Richards; great-grandchildren, Aiden + Layla Bundrick, Addison Peila, and sister Theresa Calton.
Mr. Richards was a member of Gladeville Methodist Church and retired from Nashville Electric Service. Fishing was his favorite pastime as well as being a friend to all that met him or needed his help.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Moses Han with interment to take place in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Stan Wacome, Dan Spiceland, Jeff Savage, Jason Savage, Gomer Jordan, Shawn O’ Sullivan and Randy Savage. Honary Pallbearers, Tommy Knowles, David Denney, Markus Myatt and Jimmy McDowell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or The Gladeville Methodist Church.
