Mr. William Malcolm “Bill” Sloan, age 72 of Lebanon passed away June 3, 2025, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.
Born in Davidson County, TN, April 17, 1953, son of the late Oplis Malcolm Sloan and Ann Baker Sloan. He was a graduate of Hume-Fogg High School in Nashville and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
He was the owner of Sloan Processing, an X-ray company, for numerous years and was the manager of the Hurricane Marina on Center Hill Lake for fifteen years before retiring. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed farming. He was an avid University of Alabama sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Sloan; daughter, Brooke Sloan; step-sons: Trey (Jamie) Kimbro, Ryan Long; sister, Sharon Sloan (Victor) Jeffreys; two brothers: Malcolm Sloan Jr., David (Gena) Sloan; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with eulogy by Robert Davidson. Private burial will be in Leeville Cemetery. Visitation Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Holston Home for Children, holstonhome.org or the Nashville Rescue Mission, nashvillerescuemission.org.
