William L. “Bill” Emmert, loving husband and father of Lebanon passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.
He was born in Lebanon, TN on June 2, 1950 to the late Vic and Margery Emmert.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by daughter, Margery Catherine Emmert; son, 1st LT William “Eric” Emmert; father and mother-in-law, Howard Lee and Catherine Climer Edwards; brothers-in-law, Wayne Edwards and Frank Norcom.
Survived by wife of 54 years, Brenda Lois Emmert; sister, Marcia Ann Emmert Norcom; nieces, Margery Norcom (Ken) Hilburn and their children, Bryson Hilburn, Amy Hilburn, Erin Hilburn (Matt) Stuver, Michelle (Jimmy) Walker and their children, Kayla Walker, Dalton (Jade) Walker, and Madison (Jon) Dill; and Teresa (Greg) Lanham and their children, Melissa (Brant) Kite and Ashley Stahl; sister-in-law, Cora Tomlinson Edwards; great-great nephews and nieces, Daniel Greer Stuver, Isabella, Carly, and Liam Kite, and Reanna Stahl.
Bill was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Tennessee Tech University. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He worked as a construction superintendent for over 40 years working for RL Scobey in Nashville, Steed Brothers in Lebanon, and McPherson & Shaw in Nashville where he retired.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests no flowers but contributions may be made to the Wilson County Community Help Center, Cedarcroft Home in Lebanon or any charity of your choice.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Cedar Grove Cemetery next to his son, Eric.
