William “Ernie” Wood Jr., age 57 of Lebanon, passed away on June 18, 2026. He is preceded in death by father, William “Bill” Wood Sr. and mother, Alta Sue Holmes Baines; brothers, Gary Edward Woodard and Barry Scott Woodard. He is survived by brother, Wayne (Kay) Woodard and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
Ernie was a happy, joyful, and active person who brought smiles to those around him. Despite the challenges of his disability, he maintained a playful and friendly spirit throughout his life. He was especially drawn to watches, shiny jewelry, and other things that caught his eye and sparked his curiosity. Ernie loved Christmas and cherished the comfort of home. He resided at the Easterseals group home in Lebanon, where he was cared for and loved by many. His warm personality and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation for Ernie will take place Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 from 1 to 2 PM at Partlow Funeral Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Pastor Greg McCoy will officiate the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernie’s memory to Easterseals. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Easterseals in Lebanon and Ms. Loretta.
