Sue Sykes passed away on July 24, 2026 at age 71. Sue Allanna Sykes was born in Toronto Canada to Thelma Monz and Deke West. Sue had a life-long thirst for learning. She went to multiple schools in Canada and also in the United States where she moved to work in Telecommunications. It was through work that she met the man who would be her husband and partner for life, Gary Dummer. They met in 1983 and married in 1988.
Sue enjoyed working in the yard, playing golf, and scuba diving. She and Gary did not have children and were good partners in every way.
She is preceded in death by her parents Deke and Thelma West and her sister Shannon West. She is survived by her husband and partner of 40 years, Gary “Bear” Dummer.
