At his South Lovers Lane home, with his loving family at his bedside, Mr. Scott Sircy’s earthly journey came to an end and he transitioned to his heavenly reward at 2:30 a.m. He was pronounced deceased at 4:25 a.m. Sunday morning January 4, 2026 at the age of 57 by Gentiva Hospice of Lebanon.

His pastor Eld. Dave Silcox and Eld. Dewey Dyer will officiate at the 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon January 6th funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life at the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

The Sircy family will receive friends at Sanderson in Carthage on Monday January 5th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday January 6th from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. services.

Born Jeffery Scott Sircy at the former McFarland Hospital in Lebanon on September 1, 1968, he was the son of the late Billy Wayne Sircy who died December 17, 2008 at the age of 77 and Annell Burton Sircy who died January 14, 2021 at the age of 85.

Mr. Sircy was a 1986 graduate of Smith County High School.

At the home of his wife’s mother, Mrs. Wilma Blevins Moore, he was united in marriage to Rome Community native Myra Denise Blevins. The ceremony was performed by Eld. James “Pee Wee” Massey.

Scott was preceded in death by a grandson, Eli Harvey, who died at the age of 4 on October 12. 2022.

For 26 years before his illness brought about his retirement on March 1, 2024, he was the yard foreman for the Lebanon Distributing Co. In Lebanon.

Mr. Sircy was saved at the age of 8 under the preaching of Eld. Benny Maggart and was baptized into the full fellowship of the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church, where he had remained a faithful member until the Lord called him home.

An avid Vanderbilt University football fan, he had the opportunity to attend their final game of the season when he, Myra, and family attended the ReliaQuest Bowl game in Tampa, Florida on December 31st.

Scott received an all-access pass and was privileged to meet the Vanderbilt Baseball Coach and was permitted to go down on the stadium field at the bowl game.

Surviving in addition to his devoted wife of only eighteen years are three daughters, Samantha Dedmon and husband Brey of Alexandria, Rachel Beechboard and husband Eld. Beau Beechboard of the Rome Community, Kayla Harvey and husband Chad also of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Ridge and Nora Dedmon, Chloe Beth Beechboard, Jack, Haddeigh, Parker, and Andie Maye; five siblings, Tina Sircy Gentry & husband Rusty of South Carthage, Deborah Sircy Wheeler and husband Jimmy of South Carthage, Bobby Sircy and wife Judy Hughes Sircy, Sherrie Sircy Ray and husband Terry all of the Sullivans Bend Community, Teresa Wilburn McPherson of South Carthage.

The Sircy family requests memorials to the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church.
