Robert Louis Steinson, age 91 of Lebanon, passed away April 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Steinson; daughter, Anne Horne; parents, James and Cecelia Steinson and numerous siblings.
He is survived by daughters, Nora (Glenn) Chambers, Amber (Walker) Woods, Megan (Blu) Fowler; grandchildren, Lauren (David) Crotzer, Erin (Alfred) Stewart, Grant (Jordan) Chambers, Whitney (Aaron) Cooper, Zachary Horne, Logan Horne, Dawson Turner, Carter Turner, Aiden Woods, Lily Kate Woods and Jake Woods as well as numerous great-grandchildren, siblings, and other loving family members.
Born in Connecticut, Robert began a life of service and hard work early on, volunteering as a fireman in his local community. In 1968, he moved to Tennessee with his family, where he continued to build a life grounded in love, faith, and dedication. A man of many talents and a tireless work ethic, he held positions as General Manager at Fortune Plastics and as an insurance agent with Aflac, always approaching his work with integrity and a drive to improve every process he encountered. His engineering mind and passion for building led him to construct two family homes by hand-one in Connecticut and one in Tennessee-and to spend countless hours woodworking and crafting furniture for loved ones. Robert was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 40 years, where his faith and love for others shone brightly; he deeply believed in the importance of a relationship with God and found joy and support in his church community. Above all, Robert was a family man. He was never happier than when surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always wearing a big smile and living fully in each moment. Whether tinkering with computers or inventing better ways to do everyday things, he approached life with creativity, generosity, and heart.
