Robert Kenneth Condit Jr.

Robert “Ken” Condit Jr., 70, of Lebanon, TN, formerly of Bell Acres and Fair Oaks, PA, passed away on April 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 14, 1954, in Sewickley, PA, he graduated from Quaker Valley High School in 1972. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Powner, in 1977, and together shared a life of love, laughter, family and faith. They raised two daughters, Kristin (Ernie Kratsas) and Kelsey (Craig Singer), and adored their grandson, Brody Vincent Condit.

Ken began his career at ARMCO Steel in Ambridge and later worked with Ryan Homes for 30 years with many distinctions and awards, including induction into the Master Builder Society. He was committed to his community, serving as a volunteer firefighter and Fire Chief in Bell Acres, and later in Fair Oaks. Ken relocated to Middle Tennessee in 2013, and became a southern farmer, enjoying hard work and plentiful rewards raising chickens, horses, and a large garden.

He retired from Ryan Homes in 2017. He also volunteered with the Wilson County Senior Citizen Awareness Network and The Room in the Inn Program at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville. He was an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory TN and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Kristin (Ernie Kratsas) and Kelsey (Craig Singer), grandson Brody, sister Betty Aquino, Cranberry Twp, PA , brother Bill Condit (Tami), Freehold NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken & Betty Condit, sisters Roberta Klacik, Connie Bilonick, and brother-in-law Greg Bilonick. Beloved brother-in-law to Deacon Tom Klacik, Baden, PA, Elly Kost, Freedom, PA, Micky Powner (Sally), Santa Rosa, CA, Cindy Powner, Fruit Heights, UT, Tom Powner (Janis) Virginia Beach, VA and Bob Powner (Lisa) Bell Acres, PA. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Divine Redeemer Parish, St. James Catholic Church, Sewickley, PA on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by a luncheon. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory, TN on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Visitation beings at 9 AM and the Mass begins at 11 AM, followed by a luncheon.

The family would like to thank the Lung Transplant team at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN as well as the nursing staff of Alive Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
