Richard Jackson age 71 of Lebanon passed away July 31, 2026 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Kay Jackson; mother of his child, Susie Carver; brother in law, Ed Russo.
He is survived by his son, Colin (Sloane) Jackson; grandchildren, Aislinn Jackson, Rowan Jackson and Bronwyn Jackson; sister, Suzie Russo; brothers, Jimmy Jackson and Steve Jackson and sister in law, Paula Fox.
Richard had lived in Lebanon, Tennessee since his late twenties, where he raised his son, Colin. He was a member of Joy Church in Mt. Juliet.
Richard worked in I.T. for DANA for many years before joining the City of Lebanon Sanitation Department, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
He loved reading and music, even teaching himself to play the guitar. He also enjoyed going to concerts and watching Behind the Music documentaries.
More than anything, Richard loved his family. Every Saturday, he looked forward to having lunch with them. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He loved taking them shopping for their monthly ‘Toy Day,’ which eventually turned into buying clothes as they got older. They also spent nearly every weekend at his house, making memories he treasured.
