Richard D. Metcalf passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, he was 81 years old.
Richard was born in Olney IL to Mildred Chalcraft and Charles Metcalf.
He served in the U.S. Army. He married Norma Webb and together they raised a family. Mr. Metcalf was a proud Republican who loved God, country, and family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being with people. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He worked as a Distributor for Super Value.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma Metcalf, children C.J. (Jenny) Metcalf and Jyl (Josh) Jones, grandchildren Jacob Metcalf, Owen Metcalf, Nolan Jones, and Cora Jones, siblings Robert (Alice) Metcalf and Rodney Metcalf, sister-in-law Ann Metcalf, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by brothers Ray Metcalf and Randy Metcalf, and parents Mildred and Charles Metcalf.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor Kevin Medlin, is 2 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m.
