Randy-Vickers-Sr.

Randy Vickers Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 60.

He was born in Woodberry, Tennessee to Mary Maynard and Leroy Vickers.

Throughout his life, he lived in many places, but ultimately called Mt. Juliet, TN home as that is where he raised his children.

Randy was blessed with a large and loving family. Randy and his first and only love, Tammy, got together at the ages of fifteen and sixteen; and the rest is history.

He loved God, his family, especially the grandbabies, hunting, trout fishing, thrifting, his dog, Bailey, and the Tennessee Vols.

He was known for his excitable opinions, telling it how it is and not taking anything from anybody. While all this is true, he also wore his heart on his sleeve and never failed to cry at a tear jerking animal commercial or heartfelt movie.

As his children were growing up, he was a solid provider and family man. His passion and love for his family, particularly his amazing wife Tammy Jo, was evident in everything he did. He played many roles in his lifetime to the people he cared for the most. As a husband he treasured his wife, as a father he left a permanent mark of love and compassion, and as a Pawpaw he was a bestfriend to all of his grandkids. As a neighbor and friend, his compassionate heart moved him to help others.

Although he didn’t have a church home, he loved the Lord, had faith, beliefs, and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Randy is survived by his wife Tammy Jo; children: Krystal (Lee) Morris, Randy (Ashley) Vickers Jr, Tabitha (David) Walker, Colton (Shannon) Vickers, and James ‘Turk” (Terri) Hulka; grandchildren: Mariah, Hannah, Makenzie, Aubree, Maggie Kate, Aiden, Caroline, Tanner, and Knoxx; his brother Jefferey Phillips; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were like family. And his dog, Bailey.

He is preceded in death by father Leroy Vickers, mother Mary Maynard, and sisters Brandy Tomilson and Charlene Duncan.

There will be a Celebration of Life on May 7, 2023 with more details to come at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made in Randy’s name to a charity or cause of your choice.

Tammy would want you to know that Randy was a loving husband and he will be in her heart forever. Thank you for your love and support through this difficult time.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4
