Paul L. Nolan, of Lebanon, TN, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 89. Paul’s life was an example of dedication, service, and faith.
Mr. Nolan was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia Nolan, wife of 30 years Linda Nolan, parents Rosalee and Harley Nolan, brothers Allon Nolan and George Nolan, sister Elizabeth Anderson.
He is survived by his devoted sons Paul W. (Diane) Nolan and Gary L. (Dana) Nolan, grandsons Rick Nolan, John Nolan, Steven Nolan, and Will Nolan, great-grandsons Alex Nolan, Kris Nolan, Jay Nolan, and Hayden Nolan, and brother Barry (Clara) Nolan.
Paul Leslie Nolan was born in Tracy City, TN. He was the third of five children of Rosalee and Harley Nolan. He attended Grundy County High School. He enjoyed attending the races at the Nashville Speedway in his younger years and was a lifelong fan of the Tennessee Vols. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time. He was first and foremost a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
He worked for 35 years at AVCO/Textron where he was a member of the AFL/CIO and served as a union committeeman and chaplain. He was an evangelist and pastor for the Church of God and served as the pastor of the church for the communities of Smyrna, Collinwood, and Lancaster Hill. He achieved credentialing by the Church of God as an Ordained Bishop.
The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, TN, on Thursday, April 17 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Gordon Lee on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the Ministry Center Church of God (1007 Hartsville Pike), Lebanon, TN. Visitation at the church is from 11 a.m. until the service at noon. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Entombment in the Wilson County Memorial Mausoleum will follow the service.
