Norma Gale Overstreet, age 83 of Mt. Juliet passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by parents, Ernest James “Jack” and Margaret Heflin Warpoole; brother, Lester Warpoole and Jeff Warpoole; and sister, Margaret Turney.
She is survived by husband of 63 years, Hubert Overstreet; children, Terry Overstreet, Teresa (Elaine Voelker) Overstreet, Tammy (Bill) Thaw, Leslie “Bubba” (Treva) Overstreet, and Adam (Jenna) Overstreet; sister, Joyce DeRorre; brother, Jackie (Bunny) Warpoole; grandchildren, Justin (Vanessa) Thaw, Michaela (Parker Jackson) Overstreet, Hunter Thaw, Alex Overstreet, and Evan Overstreet; and great-granddaughters, Aliana, Harley, and Justice Thaw, and Everleigh Jackson; nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
She was a member of First Baptist Mt. Juliet and was a 1959 graduate of Hume Fogg High School. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, shopping, decorating for holidays and spending time with her family. She retired from the Krystal Company with 34 years of service.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Christian Life Chapel, 105 Holloway Dr. Funeral Services will be at the Christian Life Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
