Nathan "Nate" Harper Obit

Nathan Harper, better known as “Nate”, 41, a member of the Portland, Tennessee, community, was born on Monday, March 21st, 1983, in Lebanon, Tennessee, to his loving parents, Gary and Judy Sanders Harper, and passed away on Friday, January 31st, 2025.

The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor Mark White, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at 02:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Corum Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, February 4th from 11:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 5th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 02:00 p.m.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife and companion of 19 years, Jessica Smith Harper; children, Caleb Smith and Adrian Holt, both of Portland; brother, Luke Harper of Lafayette; niece, Maelyn Wilson; father-in-law, John Hall; several brother-in laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Nate was a mechanic at Gateway Tire & Auto. Outside of his career and spending time with his family, he loved to maintain a healthy lifestyle by working out, cooking, and traveling. He was saved by the Grace of God and was led to join Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member.

The family request memorial contributions be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
