Morgan Lee Slayton, age 77, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on November 16, 2025.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Sellars Family Heritage in Gallatin on Wednesday, November 19, at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Jake Sullivan and Bro. Kevin Slayton officiating.
The family will be receiving friends and family on Tuesday, November 18, from 3-7 p.m. and Wednesday, November 19, from 12 p.m. until service time.
Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Slayton was preceded in death by a brother, Bobbie Slayton; sisters, Faye Troutt, Judy Bradley, and Linda Manning.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Shults Slayton, and sons, Travis Slayton (Becky) of Roebuck, South Carolina, and Kevin Slayton (Candice) of Gallatin, Tennessee; Grandchildren, Hoster Slayton, Audrey Slayton, Aubrey Jones, Emory Jones, and Emily Jones.
Mr. Slayton was saved October 2, 1970, and baptized at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a clerk for over 40 years.
Friends and Family will be serving as pallbearers.
