Ms. Monica Antoinette “Jones” Wix, age 68 of Portland, Tennessee passed away Monday, October 6th, 2025 at her residence in Portland, Tennessee. She was born on December 16th, 1956 in Madison, TN to the late Donald Jones and Peggy Bowen.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Brian Bruckert.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Horton; grandchildren, Richard (Makayla) Evert and Natalie Horton; great grandchild, Oakley Evert; and sisters, Tammy Carnal, Jeanie (Mickey) Schroeder and Lisa Denley.
Monica enjoyed watching Blue Bloods and Chicago PD. In her early years she loved to tan and was an avid reader. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grand mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Fountain Head Baptist church in Portland, Tennessee on Friday, October 10th at 4:00 PM with Bro. Mark Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to help offset funeral expenses.
