Mona Jean Butts age 81 of Mt. Juliet, passed away on June 27, 2022 of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s complications.

She was born in Gibson City, Illinois on July 13, 1940, to William Woodard Wilson and Esta Ella Burton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Hershel Lee Butts; son, Rodney Scott Butts; sisters, Ella Mae Warren and (infant) Wilma Juanita Wilson.

Survived by: daughters, Tammy Frasure (Rickey) of Sevierville, TN; Anita Heath of Shelbyville, TN; and Laura Zomlot of Lebanon, TN; daughter-in-law, Lisa Butts of Lebanon, TN; brothers, William (Bill) Wilson of Evansville, IN; Robert (Bob) Wilson of Gibson City, IL, Randy Dilley of Indianapolis, IN; and sisters, Vicki Wethington of Oxford, IN, and Brenda Fuetz of Fowler, IN; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson; and scores of nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She enjoyed sewing and made much of her family’s clothing. She loved to mushroom hunt in Illinois and would call on nieces and nephews to go with her, enjoying live country and bluegrass music was a regular outing and visiting casinos was a thrill she enjoyed as often as possible.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11 am at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Ryan Bennett officiating. The Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am.
