Mike Stutts, age 65 of Carthage TN, passed away on May 29, 2026 after a short illness.
The Celebration of Life, conducted by Brother David Spears, is 6 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and again on Friday from 3 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m.
Inurnment in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery will be at a later date.
Michael Jerry Stutts was born in Lebanon TN to Sue Anne McClanahan Stutts and William Lloyd Stutts. He joined the United States Army where he earned the Overseas Service Ribbon and received the Rifle M-16 Marksman Qualification Badge. His military education included fire control instrument repair. After the service, he worked as a tool and die maker. He loved any outdoor activities but especially hunting and fishing. Mike spent many years hunting and teaching the grandchildren the activities he enjoyed on the many acres he lived on.
Mike is survived by his daughter Brittany Barrett, grandchildren Hensley Barrett, Jaemeson Barrett, Truitt Stutts, Emeri Barrett, Mireya Barrett, Cadon Barrett, and Faith, brother Rick (Martha) Stutts, sister-in-law Nancy Stutts, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Hunt Stutts, parents Anne and Bill Stutts, and brother William Barry Stutts.
