Mary Helen (Fuston) Neal, long time resident of the Tuckers Cross Roads Community, went to be with the Lord at the age of 88. She passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Sue and Johnny Bucy in the Grant Community in Smith County. She was under the excellent care of Gentiva Hospice after a brief stay at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Born on June 27, 1936 in the Grant, TN Community. She was one of four children born to the late George Dayton Fuston and the late Johnnie Evelyn Judkins Fuston.
Mary Helen was preceded in death by two sons, John William Neal, Jr. and Ricky Harlin Neal; two brothers, Ben Dillard Fuston and Billy Ray Fuston; one grandson, David William Davis. Also, special friend Edward Barrett.
Mary Helen is survived by three daughters, Janice Sue Bucy (Johnny) of the Grant Community; Patsy Brewer, and Brenda Shafer (James) of Lebanon; sister, Betty Ruth Lawson (Jim) Wewoka, Oklahoma, other survivors include 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
She was Baptist in faith and was saved and baptized at Round Lick Baptist Church in Watertown, TN at the age of 14. She loved her family and her life. Her favorite hobbies were flower gardening and caring for abandoned animals.
