Martha Elizabeth Hardin age 85 of Watertown, died Wednesday July 23, 2025 at her residence. Born Feb. 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Annie Lee Chumbley Snyder. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Howell Hardin; daughter, Joanne Ladd; sons, Bobby Jernigan and Howell Anthony Hardin; grandchildren, Melissa Brown, Elizabeth Morris and Justin Jernigan; her sisters, Maggie King and Ruth Johnson and a brother, Homer Lee Snyder.
Martha was a homemaker and currently attended Hermitage First Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Susan (Gary) Hardin and Holly (Chris) Dickens; grandchildren, Melinda Cooke, LeAnne (Karter) Tompkins, Michael (Mary) Mangum, William (Amanda) Ladd; great grandchildren, Jordan, Jason and Destiny Cooke, Garrett Van Vorst, Makayla and Madison Mangum; nieces and nephews; “bonus” grandchildren, Tyler (Darci) Davis and Caleb Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Sten Criscoe officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and prior to services on Saturday. Pallbearers, Jordan Cooke, Jason Cooke, Garrett Van Vorst, William Hardin, Randy Johnson, Darren Dickens. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
