Marie Joyce Jackson age 78 of Lebanon passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Quality Care for Rehabilitation in Lebanon, Tn. She was born in Smithville, Tn. on November 14, 1946 to the late Henry and Vera Lawrence. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her son, Grant Lawrence Jackson; brothers, Luther Lawrence, Kenneth Lawrence, and Carlon Lawrence.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Rhonda J. Jackson Tidwell; grandsons, Devin (Brooklyn) Jackson and Tyler Tidwell; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt, and Wiley Jackson; sister, Margaret Davis; brother, Jimmy (Jean) Lawrence; and special friend, Wayne Hurt.
Mrs. Jackson, a proud graduate of the DeKalb County High School Class of 1964, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and creativity. A dedicated patriot, she served her country honorably as a sergeant in the United States Army. Known for her warm spirit and creative soul, Mrs. Jackson had a passion for cooking and found great joy in spending time outdoors. She especially cherished her fishing adventures with her special friend Wayne – and nothing brought her more laughter than the thrill of catching turtles together.
Mrs. Jackson was of the Baptist faith. She touched many lives with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and country. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
