Margie Lee Sprinkle
December 1, 1936 – March 13, 2025
A true coalminer’s daughter, she was born in Harlan, Kentucky on December 1, 1936 to Thomas and Virgie Jones.
She grew up in Kentucky but moved to Michigan in her teen years. There she met the love of her life, Jack Sprinkle. They married on June 4, 1955 and spent 66 years together before his passing in November, 2021. They made their home in Lebanon, Tennessee.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Her daughter, Jackie, once asked mom “what is your favorite Bible verse?” Her response was Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Jack Sprinkle, parents, all siblings and a son-in-law.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Lisa Walker, Teresa (Robert) Smith, and Jackie Chaney; 5 grandsons: Dale (Marley) Walker, Matt (Gabby) Duke, Josh (Savannah) Friar, CJ (Deanna) Chaney and Charles Chaney.
7 great grandchildren: JA Walker, Oakley & Emersyn Duke, Ivory, Iris, Jensen and Isobel Friar.
The family would like to thank Adoration of Murfreesboro and Cookeville for their services. And a very special thank you to Gentiva Hospice of Cookeville for their support, kindness and compassion in the care of our mom.
Graveside services to be held on Monday March 17, 2025 in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. Rev. William Brooks will officiate the service. Active pallbearers, Robert Smith, Matt Duke, Josh Friar, CJ Chaney, Charles Chaney, Chris Chaney, & Dale Walker. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mrs. Sprinkle’s memory to, Faith Forward Fund at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 7463 Hickory Ridge Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.
