Margaret Mitchell Tomlinson, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 26, 1945 to the late J.E. and Elizabeth Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles (Annette) Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, and Kenneth Mitchell; nephew, Scott Mitchell; and special friend, Tex Moran.
She is survived by sons, Tim (Carolyn) Tomlinson and Keith (Kim) Tomlinson; grandchildren, Ryan Tomlinson, Lauren Tomlinson, Austin (Kelsey) Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, and Avery Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, Brayden McDuffie, Landon Tomlinson, and baby Isaac Tomlinson due in February; sister-in-law, Debbie Mitchell; and a host of other loving family members.
Margaret was a member of Fairview Church. She worked for several years at Texas Boot and was a manager at Top O Ring Credit Union. She enjoyed traveling, loved her church and spending time with her family. She was very proud of living in the century farm home where she was raised.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Fairview Church. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery. Dr. Michael Christian will officiate. Ryan Tomlinson, Austin Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, Chris Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, and Joe Moran will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Goshen Cemetery.
