A private graveside service for family only will be held for Mrs. Madeline Bobo Hagan on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Dr. Jim Hundley and Donnie Bain officiating. Mrs. Hagan, age 102, of Lebanon was born August 8, 1922, in Wilson County, TN, daughter of the late Ben Bobo and Janelle Wood Bobo. Mrs. Hagan passed away peacefully at her home February 14, 2025.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Judge Willard Ensley “Buck” Hagan, July 16, 2004; her son, Anthony Ensley Hagan; two brothers: Julius Bobo and Ben Kenneth Bobo.
Madeline is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Kendall) Porter; four grandsons: Ensley (Andrea) Hagan, Bill (Jenny) Porter, Chad (Tonia) Porter, Stephen Porter; granddaughter, Madeline (Jeff) Darst; eleven great-grandchildren.
Known as Mima to her beloved family, Madeline was the ultimate southern lady, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved hosting dinner parties for her friends and holiday and birthday gatherings for her family.
She was a lifelong member of College Hills Church of Christ. She will always be remembered by her family as a woman of strong character and loving compassion. She certainly lived a long life of faith, strength and perseverance.
The Hagan family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Wilma Seay and Mrs. Mary Ann Bain for their tremendous care and to a special friend Charlotte Johnson. Also, their gratitude to Dr. Robert Woods, Stephen and LeaBeth Pack.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Healing Hands International, Sherry’s Hope or the charity of your choice.
