Macy Curtis Smith, age 77, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Macy Curtis Smith was born on April 29, 1947, in Marvel, Alabama and raised in Bessemer, Alabama by his parents MC and Augustine Smith, along with his brother David Lowell.

He attended the University of Alabama where he played football under “Bear” Bryant during the 1967 and 1968 championship seasons. He graduated with a BS degree in business and spent much of his professional career in sales, retiring as a Regional Manager from Terumo Medical Corporation in 2017.

Curtis was married twice, having four children in his first marriage and raising two stepchildren with his current wife of 35 years, Linda. He loved spending time at the lake, working on cars, and driving his Corvette. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 16 grand and 4 great-grandkids.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents MC and Augustine Smith and his brother, David Lowell Smith.

He is survived by:
Wife – Linda Lou Ross Smith
Children – Tracy Lynne Smith Barton, Macy Curtis (Leigh) Smith, Jr., Kathryn Leigh Smith (Jason) Snyder, Jody Diane Smith (Ryan) Blankenship, Mark Daniel (Anita) Lane, and Ashley Danielle Thomas
Grandchildren – Lindsey (Randy) Dickerhoff, Caleb (Kylie) Barton, Bryce (Tori) Barton, Emma Thomas, Mikayla Lane, Kyleigh Cripps, Kyndall Cripps, Kamyrn Cripps, Kolby Snyder, Kinsley Snyder, Averie Blankenship, Addley Blankenship, Lillie Smith, Sophie Smith, Emme Smith, and Mac Smith
Great Grandchildren – Kilian, Jude, Griffin, and Quinn Dickerhoff.

Private graveside services will be conducted at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family members serving as pallbearers. There will be a public Celebration of Life service scheduled at a later date at The Journey Church in Lebanon.
