Lynda Anne Long, age 79, of Mount Juliet, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Lynda was born on January 21, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan, and was immediately adopted into the loving family of the late Frank and Rosa Farnham. She was a 1963 graduate of Harper Creek High School.
Lynda was a faithful servant of our Lord, beginning at age 8 when she accepted Christ as her Savior. She found her final church home at First Baptist Church Mount Juliet, where she was a beloved member. Faithfully serving as a greeter for the church, she was able to touch the lives of many with her with love and devotion. She embodied the love that Jesus calls us to in Matthew 22:37-38 “love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind” and to “love your neighbor as yourself”.
Only second to her faith, Lynda found comfort and joy in being with her family and friends. She was a loving wife to Peter and a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She intentionally created loving and lasting memories with her loved ones. It was a privilege to know her and be loved by her.
Among countless other attributes, Lynda was also known for her unique sense of humor, selfless hospitality, and tireless work ethic. She worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, including over 20 years at Cook’s Star Market in Mount Juliet.
She was a very important part of both her family and friends’ lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Frank E. Farnham, and her mother and stepfather, Rosa Griffin and Lewis Griffin.
