Louise Troxler McEldowney – age 84, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness, and treasured memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lawrence and Sarah Frances Troxler, Jr.; brother, Edward Troxler; and brother-in-law, Steve Moore.
Survived by daughter, Kim (Neil) Pennycuff; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Chapman and Allison Pennycuff; great grandchildren, Parker Chapman and Hadley Chapman; sisters, Elaine Moore, Ann Troxler, and Linda Fisher; and brother, Bob Troxler; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Louise lived her life with quiet strength, compassion, and devotion to her family. She was a proud graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, Class of 1959 and Martin Methodist College in 1961.
Louise enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially reading, watching golf and working crossword puzzles, which kept both her mind and spirit active. More than anything, however, her family was the center of her world. Her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She will always be remembered for her loving heart, gentle nature, and the special way she made those around her feel loved and welcomed.
Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. with graveside services to follow at 3 p.m. in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
