Lillie E. Kirby, age 78, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 23, 2024.
Born on July 28, 1946, in Franklin, Tennessee, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Lesta Huffman.
Lillie was a proud graduate of Stratford High School.
On April 6, 1966, she married the love of her life, Michael L. Kirby, in Nashville, Tennessee. Though he preceded her in death, their love story remains a cherished part of her legacy.
With over 50 years of experience in customer service across various industries, Lillie was known for her warm demeanor and dedication to helping others. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she had a deep passion for music—especially Elvis—and found joy in decorating her home and creating inviting spaces for family gatherings.
Lillie was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind her children, Amanda Gallagher (Stephen), Ashley Kirby, and Jason Kirby, as well as her five beloved grandchildren: Kiersten Parker, Katelyn Parker, Michael Kirby, Lillian Gallagher, and Cameron Gallagher.
Known for her quick wit and southern charm, Lillie was truly the life of every party, bringing laughter and joy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, TN 37204.
