Lillian Ernestine Law, a beloved member of the Mt. Juliet community, was born on Friday, January 19th, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Ernest and Christine Thompson, and was received Home with great joy by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 at the age of 84.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Paul Addison Law.
She is survived by sons, Paul and spouse, Chris, and Jeff and spouse, Angelia; grandchildren, Robin and Shalane and spouse, Andrew; step-grandchildren, Amy and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Clay, Abi, Michael, Alora, and Sylvia; brother, Don and spouse, Joy.
Lillian attended and graduated from Cohn High School in Nashville, Tennessee. An avid reader and fan of Little House on the Prairie, Mrs. Law found delight in the stories of family and togetherness. She found immense joy in sewing, often gifting her family with quilts and creating cherished memories during the holidays filled with laughter and warmth.
Her life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and vibrant spirit, Lillian was a devoted mother and grandmother, she was a source of joy and strength to all who knew her. A longtime active member of Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Mrs. Law lived every day of her life looking forward to the promise of Heaven. She gave her children and grandchildren a great joy in life, instilling them the values of kindness, love, and devotion and lived a life rich in faith and family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. Her kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her.
Lillian will be missed but we rejoice knowing she is in Heaven and no longer burdened or suffering.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor Michael Reese, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Saturday, December 21st, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Internment will follow the service at 02:45 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21st from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m.
