Lexie Brooklyn Simmons

Lexie Brooklyn Simmons was a beautiful soul too wonderful for this world. When Lexie unexpectantly took her last breath on December 5, 2021, she had an incredible (and musical) “Welcome Home” party, immediately greeted by Jesus and two men that absolutely loved and adored her. Her grandfather, Jerry Simmons, and uncle, Joshua Simmons.

Lexie had the generous gift of leaving you with a smile or a giggle every time you interacted with her. In her short 18 years of life, she taught us how to find the joy in the simple things. Joy in music, dancing, movies, and especially movie quotes! Lexie was a lover of all genres of music. She loved her pizza rolls, bagel bites and was a true Oreo Truffle connoisseur.

While our hearts are broken and we grieve this inconceivable loss, Lexie is free from pain, free from any limitations and we give all the glory to God for that.

Lexie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Simmons, and uncle, Joshua Simmons. She is survived by her mother, Annie Simmons; her father, Kevin Flowers; her sister, Jayden Perry; her brother, Cameron Flowers; her grandmother, Teresa Simmons; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, beloved teachers, and friends.

Memorial service for Lexie will be Saturday, December 18th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Nick Head officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 18th from 10 am until 2 pm.
