Kenneth Edward Taylor, a native of the Gladeville community in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 3rd, 2026, at the age of 82.
Mr. Taylor was born on Wednesday, October 6th, 1943, to the late Edward D. and Eula Mae Turner Taylor. He was a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and went on to work as a Union Electrician. Kenneth served as a Superintendent for Amprite Electric for over 34 years before his retirement. Kenneth was a true steward of the land. He loved his farm and could always be found either tinkering with a piece of equipment or on his tractor.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Bro. Danny Sellars, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Friday, July 10th, 2026, at 01:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Gerald Taylor, Buck Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Cy Taylor, Coby Taylor, and Skylar Richards serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Bible, Jeff Fennesy, and Mike Tenpenny. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9th from 05:00 p.m. – 08:00 p.m. and on Friday, July 10th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, William “Billy” Edward Taylor. He is survived by wife, Janice Taylor; children, Toby L. Taylor, Tabitha McKinney, and Tiffany Posey; siblings, Linda Sanders and Joyce Smith; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
