Keaton Joseph “KJ” Mills, 21, of Lebanon, TN, passed away on May 19, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Kenneth Owen Mills, and Grandmother, Mary Ethel Mills.

KJ left behind parents, Toby and Jennifer Mills, brothers, Griffin and Owen Mills, forthcoming sister, Josephine Mills, uncle, Matthew Mills, High-school Sweetheart, Faith Cook, the Cook Family, who treated him as their own for the last five years, special friends Mike and Cyndy Sanders, and an expansive list of extended family and friends who adored him.

KJ was a soft-spoken country boy, raised hunting and fishing and getting his hands greasy with his Daddy and his Papaw, but along the way, he picked up a sweet and empathetic demeanor from his Momma and his Mamaw.

At Wilson Central High School, he found his place in FFA, working his way through the ranks, and graduating as Chapter President in 2020. He spent all four years of high school on the Mt Juliet Fishing Team, where he honed his skills and found his true passion. He moved on to MTSU, where he studied Business Agriculture with a minor in Teaching. He continued to help out on the Mt Juliet Fishing Team, as a Captain, and this year he was Captain for his younger brother, Owen, which was so special to both of them.

As he wrapped up his Junior year earlier this month, he was looking forward to being an FFA Camp Leader next month, where, again, he would have the opportunity to be a role model to Owen and the other FFA students. KJ was genuinely compassionate, faithful, and hardworking – motivated to create a beautiful future for himself and Faith. Although he left us much too soon, he left doing what he enjoyed most – fishing. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gladeville Community Center on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 5 pm. https://www.hunterfuneral.com
