Joyce Birdy (Garrett) Price, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, on September 28th, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends.
Joyce was born to the late Lonnie Marshall and Ida Lucille Garrett on April 24, 1945, in Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard John Price and brothers, Roy and Bill Garrett.
Joyce loved the Lord and took great delight in singing and dancing, sharing her laughter and playful spirit wherever she went. She cherished every moment spent with her family, who were the light of her life. She was blessed with a close group of friends whom she dearly loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Eddie) Suey; her beloved grandchildren, Trey (Marlee) Suey, John Cole (Hayley) Suey, and Katey Suey; and her precious great-grandchildren, Eden Claire, Ira Lynn, and John Calhoun.
Her faith, kindness, and joy will live on through those who were blessed to know her.
A private service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Charlotte, TN.
