Johnny Harper, age 85 of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
He was born on August 1, 1938 in Miami, FL.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Williams Harper and sister, Dorothy Hartley of Hartford, CT.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jo Smith Harper; children, John (Tara) Harper, Jennifer (Rod) Holland; grandchildren, Peyton (Sarah) Harper, Hunter (Andrew) Pate, and Dalton Holland; great-grandchildren, Peter Pate and Henry Pate and soon to be J.W. Harper.
He was a trader at heart and enjoyed many professions over the years. He found joy in living on the farm raising goats, cattle, horses, peacocks, pigeons and numerous other animals.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Harper, Rod Holland, Peyton Harper, Dalton Holland, Andrew Pate, and Gary Aikens. Honorary pallbearers, Hunter, Peter and Henry Pate and Madison Tucker.
