Mr. Johnnie Lee Moore, age 98 of Lebanon passed away December 14, 2024, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro.
Born March 28, 1926, in Lebanon, Tennessee, he was a life-long resident of Wilson County. He is the son of the late Robert Lee Moore and Jennie Lee Davis Moore.
He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant in Germany from 1944-1946. He retired from Dupont in Old Hickory in 1984 after working there thirty years. He was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. He also served as a member of the Wilson County Fair Board. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty eight years, Annie Mae Jackson Moore on February 2, 2015; brother, Robert Glenn Moore, and a sister, Lucille Caruth.
He is survived by daughter, Lynda (Royce) O’Neal of Murfreesboro; grandson, Bruce (Tammy) O’Neal of Madison, AL; granddaughter, Roslyn (Todd) Anderson of Ackworth, GA; three great grandchildren, Nolan Anderson of Ackworth, GA, Claire O’Neal of Kennesaw, GA, and Lucy Anderson of Ackworth, GA.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Lee Moore will be 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Caruth officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation at Ligon & Bobo on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. until service.
Active pallbearers: Bruce O’Neal, Todd Anderson, Nolan Anderson, Jimmy Caruth, Mark Caruth, and Royce O’Neal.
