John Bentley passed away on November 13, 2025 at age 79. John Allen Bentley was born in Lamar CO to Josephine Ula Blackford Bentley and Elmer Bentley, the baby of 5 boys. He served in the Army National Guard before deciding to live life on the road as a truck driver. He met and married another truck driver, Esta Mason, and they spent many years on the road together. After 25 years in trucking, John retired at age 62, but happiness was still a cup of coffee and cigarettes. He loved time with family and watching Titans football games.
John is survived by his wife Esta Bentley, sons Jody (Michelle) Bentley and Cary (Debbie) Bentley, many beloved grand and great grandchildren, and siblings Marcella (Ray) McElroy, Ed Bentley, and Norman Bentley. He is preceded in death by son Troy Bentley, parents Josephine and Elmer Bentley, and brothers Rick, Bob, Bruce, and Martin Bentley.
