Joe Lawrence McWhorter, age 79, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023.
Joe was born in Springfield, TN and was the son of the late, Grover Charleton McWhorter and Dorothy Marcel Seals McWhorter.
He had a 50 year career in the heating and air business. Joe enjoyed camping and fishing. He was an avid UT Vols and Tennessee Titans fan.
He is survived by:
Wife of 45 years – Judy Isabel McWhorter
Children – Tony (Kim) McWhorter, Tommy (Christy) McWhorter and Lisa (Ronnie) Baugus
Brothers – Bill (Amanda) McWhorter and Kenny McWhorter
Grandchildren – Joey McWhorter, Zach McWhorter, Jesse Baugus, Jared McWhorter and Lily Grace McWhorter
Great-grandchild – Owen Wayne McWhorter
Nephews – Jeff McWhorter, Danny McWhorter and Patrick Isabel
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Joey McWhorter, Zach McWhorter, Jesse Baugus, Jared McWhorter, Ronnie Baugus and Jeff McWhorter.
