It is with profound sadness and great admiration for a life fully lived that we announce the passing of Jeffery Allen Bailey on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 68.

He leaves behind his children, Branden (Julie) Bailey and Tara (Tim) Dugger; his grandsons, Parker Bailey and Hudson Bailey; and his siblings, Pam Dakesian, Cindy (Gary) Brininstool, Brian (Wanda) Wine, Christine Wine, and Charles Mervin (Karyl) Bailey, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mervin Bailey and Shirley Stahl Wine, and stepfather Gerald Wine; his brothers, Bill Wine and Gerry Wine; and his brother-in-law, Rick Dakesian.

Born on October 22, 1957, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Jeff graduated from Bellevue High School in 1975 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.

Jeff was a man of many interests and endless curiosity. He loved his Honda and could often be found tinkering with his car. He enjoyed video golf, playing darts, and antiquing on eBay. He enjoyed keeping up with the news and politics and never turned down a good chance to ramble. He lived life his way, which he often joked was “pretty unconventional.”

An outdoor enthusiast at heart, “Jeffers” found peace in nature, whether tending to plants or enjoying the fresh air. He was a proud grandfather and loved making memories with his grandsons. He found happiness in spoiling his grand dog and giving him far too many treats. Jeff was blessed with an eternal best friend, his sister Pam, whom he shared an incredible bond. He had an eye for a good shirt/hat combo and wore his style with confidence. Eclectic in taste and a collector of all things, he found joy in the unique and unexpected.

Above all, Jeff loved his children deeply, and they will forever be “The Three Amigos.” He had a special gift for diving wholeheartedly into whatever brought them happiness, supporting their passions as if they were his own. His sense of humor, playful spirit, and well-known love of candy brought smiles to many faces over the years.

Jeffery will be remembered for his quick wit, his curiosity, his loyalty, and the way he embraced life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed, but his stories, laughter, and the many lessons he shared will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will receive friends for a gathering to celebrate Jeff’s life on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 05:00 p.m. – 07:00 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet.
