Mr. James Lewis ‘Jimmy’ Jones passed from this life Monday, March 14, 2022, he was 80 years old.
Jimmy was born in Lebanon, TN May 26, 1941, the son of Charles and Willie Belle Jones, the 10th of 11 children.
A life long resident of Lebanon, he was a graduate of Lebanon High School. He married Yvonne LaFever on June 29, 1963, leading to a 52 year marriage. Jimmy worked in several different careers over his life, including Texas Boot Factory, DuPont Industries, and K.O. Lester’s/PFG. He retired from the City of Lebanon Finance Department in 2006. A life long member of the Church of Christ faith, he was a member at Maple Hill Church of Christ and Highland Heights Church of Christ.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Sammy (Bobby) Jewell, son Kevin (Helen) Jones, grandchildren Julia Jones and Jaden Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. H
e was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Willie Belle Jones, wife Yvonne Jones, and many of his brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
A Memorial Service will be held in honor of his life Monday, March 21, 2022, at 3 PM, with a visitation period from 2 – 3 PM at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon.
