Mr. James Leslie Litchfield Sr., age 86 of Portland, Tennessee passed away Thursday, August 7th, 2025.
James was born on January 17, 1939 in Auburn Heights, Michigan to the late Leslie Smale and Abbie Litchfield. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Ann Litchfield; sons, Landon Litchfield and James “Jimmie” Litchfield Jr.; step father, Byron Litchfield; brother, Robert Smale; and sister, Genevieve Jackson.
Mr. Litchfield is survived by his children, Gail Richey, Julie Litchfield, Corey Litchfield (Renee), Chad Litchfield (Cara), and Jared Litchfield (Chantel); grandchildren, James Litchfield III (Kayla), Emmaline Litchfield, Cooper Litchfield, Lyla Litchfield, Jacob Litchfield, and Finnley Litchfield; great grandchildren, Ella Litchfield, Emersyn Litchfield and James Litchfield IV; and brothers, Ray Smale and Joe Litchfield.
James loved to work, especially painting and hanging wallpaper. His passion was working with his local church’s youth group, Pathfinders. James was a member of the Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church.
A memorial service to celebrate James’ life will be announced at a later date.
