Mrs. Hilda Ann (Murphy) Morris, age 89, passed away July 14, 2026 in Lebanon, TN.
A graveside service will be held July 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Heads Cemetery at Cedar Hill, TN.
Mrs. Morris was born Sept. 30, 1936 in Nashville, TN. She was the youngest of 6 children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maggie (Hopkins) Murphy and Clarence Murphy; two brothers, Walter and J.C. Murphy; and three sisters, Goldie Williams, Evelyn Mosley, and Marie Spurlock.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Marshall Morris, and her caregivers, Phyllis and Steve Johnson, and Cindy Dinning. Miss Hilda also had a nurse that she loved dearly, Samantha “Sam” Johnson.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, but most of all she loved her animals. She had the biggest heart for rescuing them.
Steve Johnson will officiate her graveside service on July 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
