Guy Dillon “Diddy” McCulloch

Guy Dillon “Diddy” McCulloch, age 69, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away October 7, 2021 after a life well-lived.

He fought until the end but could not overcome the erosion of time on a hard-working body.

Diddy was the son of the late, Forrest “Nabe” and Alice Jones McCulloch. He was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, attended Freed-Hardeman from 1970-1972, and graduated from Vol State in 1975 with a degree in respiratory therapy. Diddy spent many years as an employee of Jones Brothers.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jere McCulloch.

The epitome of a southern man at home on a tractor, Diddy was a reminder of a one-lane Mt. Juliet road, nothing below the interstate, and a little white church in the middle of town. He was always the first to volunteer and the last to take any credit. It was his honest and classic nature that made him a magnet for all those who knew him. Never short to laugh or give a hug, he was loved at parties, work, and most of all home. He was and always will be a father figure to dozens. All of these qualities made him a fixture of the entire community through his 69 years. He will be missed more than words can express.

He is survived by:
Wife of 36 years – Ann Cook McCulloch
Son – Matt (Katie) McCulloch
Daughters – Kelly (Jeff Voisine) McCulloch and Jenny (Dustin) Judy
Brother – Dale (Mary) McCulloch
Grandchildren – Peyton Judy, Carter Judy, Aislynn Voisine, and Davin Voisine
Bonus sons – Daniel Robinson and Spencer Wall
Bonus Daughters – Mercy James and Brandy Byrd
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins
His dogs – Biscuit, Sophie, and Lola and his granddogs
