OBITUARY: Gordon Lorenze “Gordy” Miller Jr.

Gordon Lorenze “Gordy” Miller Jr. age 56 of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

He is preceded in death by parents, Dr. Gordon Miller, Sr. and Barbara Miller and sister, Lori Lee Miller.

Gordy is survived by daughters, Reese Loren Miller and Reagan Elise Miller; sister, Cynthia Miller Dillaha; and a host of close friends.

Gordon “Gordy” Miller passed away leaving behind a legacy of friendship, hard work, family devotion, and a love for sports and community. A lifelong resident of Lebanon, Gordy attended Castle Heights Military Academy and was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1988. He continued his education at University of Tennessee, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1992 while proudly participating in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Gordy later earned his master’s degree from Belmont University in 2000.

Gordy was the former owner of Mail Boxes Etc. / The UPS Store and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

A true sports enthusiast, Gordy especially loved Tennessee Volunteers football. Few things brought him more joy than spending a Saturday in the fall cheering on the Vols, surrounded by friends, family, and the excitement of game day.

Above all else, Gordy’s greatest love was his family. His daughters, Reese and Reagan, were the center of his world. He cherished every moment spent with them and was immensely proud of the young women they became. His love for them was unwavering and immeasurable. He also enjoyed the companionship of his beloved pets, Marley and Leo.

Gordy will be remembered for his warm heart, his loyalty to friends, his love of laughter, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Bro. David Hesson will officiate and interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be John Walden, John McDearman, Paul Little, Murray Willis, Jay Bradshaw, Jim Adams, Britt Jones, Brian Reese. Honorary pallbearers, Doug Bone, Jeff Gannon, David Walden, and Bo Bankston.
