Gerald Evans Henley, Sr. age 93 of Watertown died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025 at his residence. Born in Alexandria, TN, he was the son of the late Carl Rutland Henley and Lois Evans Henley, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Vaught Hensley in 2018. His brothers, Sam, Robert and Russell Henley and sisters, Maurine Sims, Mabel Owen, Mildred White, Charlotte White and Margaret Beadle also preceded him in death.
Gerald was a carpenter and a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis Irvine, Phillip Irvin, Amy (Kris) Davis and Loyd (Elane) Irvine, Gerald (Julie) Henley, Jr. all of Indianapolis, IN and William Floyd “Billy” Henley of Watertown; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation from 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
