Genna Ve Winfree Murphy, age 99 of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Preceded in death by parents, Edward S. and Josephine Allen Crawford; husband, Fred Murphy; daughter, Virginia Harlin; infant daughter, Rebecca Ann Winfree; sister, Martha Armistead Geldreich; daughter-in-law, Becky Winfree; stepson, Fred Smith “Smitty” Murphy; and father of her children, Francis Odell Winfree.
She is survived by sons, Richard Winfree, Robert (Debra) Winfree, Kenneth Winfree; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; son-in-law, John Harlin; and Ginny Winfree.
Mrs. Murphy was born in Smith County and retired from Texas Boot Company. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and flower gardening.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Brush Creek Cemetery. Rev. James Norton will officiate.
