Ernie Tanner, age 63, of Lebanon TN, passed away on May 2, 2025. The Funeral Service is 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m.
Ernest Grady Tanner was born in Crossville TN to Elsie Lee Netherton Tanner and Charles Tanner. Ernie owned EKT Construction for 25 years. He enjoyed collecting, especially knives and guns, playing cards, getting tattoos, and coloring books with his granddaughter. He loved anything outside and was quite the movie buff. Ernie attended the Villages Church of Christ.
He is survived by children Ernest Kristopher Tanner, Elissa (Dillon Burks) Tanner, and April (Raymond) Breedlove; grandchildren: Joshua, Hannah, Jacob, Aspen, Waylon, and Thomas, mother Elsie Grams, siblings Charles “Chuck” (Ann) Tanner, Kathy (Dan) Brzeszkiewicz, and David Tanner, several nieces and nephews, and mother of the children Karen (Wes) Ezell. He is preceded in death by his daughter Crystal Tanner and father Charles Tanner.
