Funeral service for Mrs. Elsie Conatser Beasley will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Tyler Alverson officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Saturday 11 AM until service.
Mrs. Beasley, age 94 of Lebanon passed away February 19, 2026, at Hearthside Senior Living.
Born May 1, 1931, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Joe and Elizabeth Hunt Conatser. She was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School, and was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. She retired from South Central Bell after thirty years where she had worked as a telephone operator. She also was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Cedars Senior Center and the Shop Springs FCE Club. Miss Elsie loved glassware, and was not only a collector but also a dealer for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Beasley; four sisters, Margaret Spears, Sue Estes, Aline Watson, and Sadie Boyd; and three brothers, Joe Allison “Chalk” Conatser, Andrew Conatser, and Elmer “Bill” Conatser.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Pat and Laurie Townes; three grandchildren: Patrick (Caitlin) Townes, Julie (Tyler) Potter, and Whitney (Elliot) Lewis; great grandchildren: Annalee, Jack and Tommy Townes; Mary Clark, Townes, and Mac Potter; and Lucy Lewis; special niece, Karen Sue Douglass; and several other nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Senior Center or to the Wilson County Library.
